Lori Mizro - Dancer
Lori Mizro is a world class ballroom dancer and teacher. After graduating from Hofstra University with a B.A. in Dance and Political Science, Lori taught dance at Arthur Murray Studios and performed with several NYC based modern and Latin dance companies. She then moved to Japan where she competed for several years throughout Japan as a Professional A-Class International Standard Competitor, acquiring many titles throughout Kyushu. She also worked as a dancewear model and was a frequent guest performer and choreographer for the Furukawa Dance School in Miyakonojo. During this time, Lori taught several Ballroom Master Classes and choreographed and performed an event at an orphanage in Andhra Pradesh, India.
Lori has been dancing various styles for over 30 years and continues to coach, choreograph wedding dances, and perform, while taking weekly classes and workshops in several disciplines in New York and internationally. Lori’s most recent projects include performing at the New York International Salsa Congress, the Atlanta Salsa Congress, shows around New York City with Piel Canela Dance and Maria Ramos, and working with Project Connect.
